Our History

Profile.jpg

Stephanie

Pet Photographer

Stephanie used to do the 9-5, commute to NYC as a construction accountant and loathed every second of the office lifestyle. In 2009 her company downsized and it gave her a chance to follow her passions of photography and animals. In 2011, Chase & Snap Pet Photography was born and she also worked for a yearbook portrait studio to supplement her income. Although much better than being in an office, Stephanie still wanted more out of life. Especially when she learned of the horrors of climate change, Peak Oil, Monsanto, etc. She found hope when she discovered Permaculture or Regenerative Agriculture and with the help of the universe and synchronistic events, she has turned her life right side up and is stumbling full speed ahead towards homesteading and sustainable living.

Jose

Field Service Engineer

A city guy through and through, it was a huge adjustment when he moved from Queens, NY to NJ as a teenager. But that opened him up to new experiences such as camping and snowboarding and he discovered his love for the outdoors. He now spends his free time as a true naturalist, bird watching and identifying animal tracks on the property. He currently works as a Field Service Engineer fixing high energy machines and although he has to travel frequently, he could also be home for weeks at a time so it allows freedom to work on the homestead.

Seren & Starfox

Rodent Catcher and Watchdog

These two rescue pups are our adopted children and they have been much happier living on 12.5 acres instead of a small townhouse with no where to roam. Seren has found her true calling as a rodent catcher and Starfox is content sitting at the top of the hill under the apple trees waiting to alert us of any trespassers.
